If you don’t know who Sam Hunt is, it won’t be long until you do.
The rising country star releases his new studio album, Montevallo, on Oct. 27 and it features his hit, ‘Leave the Night On.’
We initially heard of Hunt when he debuted, ‘Raised On It,’ and it was love at first sound. But what is it about Hunt that has country fans obsessed with him?
He’s breaking country boundaries.
Sam Hunt isn’t your typical twangy singer and you won’t find another vibe like his. The artist knows how to effortlessly mix R&B, ’90s and country all in one flawless song. It’s a completely new sound of country – that fans are loving.
He uses social media and makes awesome posts.
Hunt didn’t need a radio station to make him popular. The artist picked up loads of fans by heading to social media, streaming services and posting up-and-coming projects. Hunt’s Instagram features cool Vlogs and lets you inside his life.
He’s written hit songs.
Hunt has written for some of country’s best! The singer wrote, ‘Come Over,’ sung by Kenny Chesney, ‘Cop Car,’ by Keith Urban, and ‘We Are Tonight,’ by Billy Currington. All of these just happen to be favorites of country followers, so it’s no surprise his own songs are hitting the charts.
He doesn’t force anyone to like him.
When the singer started out (leaving a possible football career in the dust), he just wanted to be heard. Hunt told Buzzfeed, “When somebody’s never heard you, that’s the way to do it: Just give them music for free and let them decide for themselves if they like it or not.”
