Being pregnant still hasn’t sunk in for Carrie Underwood.
On Friday (Sept. 26), the country singer dressed her baby bump in a long-sleeved frock while appearing on NBC’s Today Show.
The 31-year-old dished about her newest addition with husband Mike Fisher, claiming she’s still in shock.
Explaining that sometimes she just looks at him and says, “‘I’m gonna be a mom. You’re gonna be a dad.’ It’s like, is this real life? But we’re really excited.”
And because of her own family, Underwood has some faith in her parenting skills.
“I have a wonderful mother so if I can be even a little bit like that, I think that we’ll be good,” she added.
But don’t expect any pregnancy to slow down this bombshell! Underwoold is singing live during Saturday’s Global Citizen Festival concert in New York City’s Central Park. Other performers include Fun, Jay Z, No Doubt, Tiësto, No Doubt and The Roots.
The ‘See You Again,’ singer also surprised the nation with some major news – she’s working on new music!

Playing a preview for Hoda Kotb she said, “The song is called ‘Something in the Water’ and it’s going to be a single off my greatest hits album, which will come out Dec. 9…It’s very uplifting.”
Sounds like our kind of music!
“I’m really excited that people are going to hear it Monday,” she added.
Describing the song, Underwood says it’s “about changing your life for the better and having that ‘aha moment’ to waking up and your life being different from that moment forward.”
We can’t wait to hear it and watch her adorable belly grow!
